Good morning, and welcome to The Sunday Salon, our gathering place for sharing our lives, our blogging, and our reading.
This past week has been wonderful, in that the days are brighter, the blossoms are out, and even when I’m indoors, I can catch glimpses of the loveliness. All of which seems to imbue sunshine onto my whole world. Okay, silly, isn’t it? But don’t you feel “lighter” and “sunnier” when the outdoors reflect that?
Last Wednesday, I picked up Noah at school. It was the first of several blissful days we’ve had this week. We went to Barnes & Noble to “kick it” and buy books.
There were no Diary of a Wimpy Kid books that he didn’t already have, so he consoled himself with this cookie.
He was actually happier than he looks! LOL
Now for the week in review…..
Some Blog Posts I Wrote:

Now for the reading...and I am happy to report that one of the books I finally finished (Freedom) is one I’ve been working at, off and on, for three weeks!
Books Read and Reviewed – Click Titles for Reviews:
1. Wicked Appetite, by Janet Evanovich
2. The Opposite of Me, by Sarah Pekkanen
3. Freedom, by Jonathan Franzen
So then, after finally finishing and reviewing Freedom (above), I settled down to watch the DVDs for the old, old series (1970s) Family.
I only finished the first disc, but I plan to watch some more today, as well as to read more of this book, which is really grabbing me…The Easter Parade, by Richard Yates.
So those are my plans…oh, and I want to walk around a bit in the neighborhood and enjoy the blossoms….
What are you up to today? Reading, movies, etc.? I hope you’ll stop by and share….
Oh, Wicked Appetite sounds intriguing. I had forgotten about the TV series Family. Sounds like you’ve had a fun week. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Thanks, Mason…glad you could stop by. I enjoyed your post, too, which reminded me that I need to read Marilyn Meredith’s series….written under F.M. Meredith. I know her personally, from our Central Valley authors group.

I’m giggling here…watching Family is definitely a nice departure from the bogged-down world in Freedom.
Thanks for stopping by, Deb.

I totally feel lighter and brighter when the outside is like that…I love those first beautiful spring days when the sun is out, the weather is warmer, the trees have leaves, flowers have started to bloom and the sky is blue…it’s hard not to smile!
Noah looks like he’s very much enjoying that cookie…yum!
You are reading some great books. I want to read Easter Parade and Freedom soon!
Have a great Sunday!

Oh, I think so, too, Amy…and this cookie was one of those HUGE chocolate chip ones…I didn’t think he’d eat it all, but he did.
Thanks for stopping by.
