It’s a beautiful day in the city.  The sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky.  I had a great lunch in Central Park, a chicken shawarma from the Shawarma Stop, which was overwhelmingly recommended to us by our listeners after last week’s episode on NYC’s best kept secrets.  Thanks for that, you guys.  It was so good, it just might be my dinner too. Friday 56:  I park the car at a sorry-looking elementary school, wander across its lot and round the building to the playground at the back because across from the playground there’s a house.  I shove my hands in my pockets and brace myself as I move forward.

Synopsis:  Sadie hasn’t had an easy life. Growing up on her own, she’s been raising her sister Mattie in an isolated small town, trying her best to provide a normal life and keep their heads above water.

He starts his own podcast as he tracks Sadie’s journey, trying to figure out what happened, hoping to find her before it’s too late.

Courtney Summers has written the breakout book of her career. Sadie is propulsive and harrowing and will keep you riveted until the last page.
