Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our new leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at The Book Date.

What a week!  Despite some of the obstacles, like a malfunctioning Kindle charger and some recent changes in my web browser that have made navigating the Internet a real challenge, it has been a fairly productive one.  I finished and reviewed four books, and each one was enough different that my journey was definitely enjoyable.

Let’s all have some coffee and chat!

  1. Four books- what a great week! Loved the pics of Prague, I’m sure that’s a beautiful city, so much history- would love to go there someday. We have a little Czech in our family line way back and I’ve always been interested in the area.

The Orange book looks interesting, I sampled Orange is the New Black on Netflix, just the first episode so far but it looks interesting. I had no idea it was based on true event.

Hope your week is great and have a merry Christmas!

    1. Thanks, Greg, I enjoyed how each of the books I read was unique…and as for Out of Orange, this one is the second book about the events portrayed in the series…the first one came from Piper Kerman, who is in that show, along with the author of the second book.

I liked how each had a unique perspective.

I would love to visit Prague, too, but in the meantime, the photos will do.

Hi there! I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading your post! To say it is great (not just this post, all of yours!) is an understatement. You are really talented (:
Because of how much I loved this post I had to check out your blog and I couldn’t help but follow you because your blog is both amazing and beautiful! I am so happy I came across your blog and I can’t wait to read more from you, keep it up (:
By the way this comment is towards all of your blog posts because they are all equally amazing and incredible (:

    1. I have had The Things We Keep on my list for a while, but I’ve been setting it aside because of the release date. I think it will be safe to start reading it now (for a January release). Thanks for stopping by, Grace, and I am always glad to read at least three books, but four are better for me.

  3. Hooray for an empty mailbox and reading/reviewing four books… you definitely came out ahead this week!! BTW, loved your review of Out of Orange and have added it to my wish list. Have a great week and a Merry Christmas 🙂

    1. Thanks, Brandi…glad you liked the look of that book….I’m eager to read it, especially since I’ve been discovering treasures lately in the books that have been lingering on my stacks a while. Enjoy your week!

    1. Thanks, Daniela, my new charger came and it’s working like a dream…I’ll try to stop being paranoid about what will stop working next!

I do love my Nutcrackers, and even though many of my favorite holiday decorations didn’t make it out of the bins, these always do.

      Have a great holiday season!

    1. I am enjoying it so far, Cleopatra, and because I’ve been restless, I am also reading November 9. I don’t do this very often.

So glad the tech issues are sort of behind me…I also discovered that the reason it takes so long to connect to WiFi with my Blu-Ray player is that I need some technology installed on the outside of the home! Who knew?

      Thanks for stopping by.

Have a very Merry Christmas Laurel! Sounds like you’re on a roll with your reading. We are heading to Southern Cal for the holidays; should be fun. Keep safe.

    1. Thanks, Kathryn, I keep thinking that I should have waited on starting that one…but I have SIX NetGalleys remaining…even though I recently read and reviewed two. I don’t like to have more than three of them on my Kindle…but a lot came up at the same time! The dilemma.

      Have a great holiday!

  5. You had a very busy week. I’m glad you got through the obstacles. The Things We Keep does sound interesting. Sometimes it is good to have a week with nothing new to add to the TBR stacks.
    Enjoy your holiday week!

    1. I agree, Martha….and I am enjoying The Things We Keep, plus I started November 9. I seldom read more than one at a time, but the two books are quite different.

Thanks for stopping by…have a great holiday!

    1. So far so good on the technological issues…we realize how dependent we are on these things when one or more of them doesn’t work…LOL.

Thanks for stopping by, Lark, and I loved that each of the 4 books was unique. Enjoy your holidays!

Sometimes it’s nice to have an empty mailbox to clear the way a little. I liked both the books you’re currently reading, still have to review The Things We Keep though. Enjoy the Christmas festivities and holiday break 🙂

    1. I always forget that I can read those e-ARCs at any time…I just have to time the review just right. I have a hard time doing that, though; I like to review immediately. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by, Teddyree, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday, too.

  7. Wow, you’ve been busy. Four books in one week sounds amazing to me, especially during the holidays with so much going on. These are all new titles for me — definitely one or two that sound intriguing. Happy reading and have a wonderful week!
