Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
My past week was full of distractions, including appointments, both fun and not-so-fun. I did a bit of blogging, some reading…but only finished reading and reviewing two books. I’m halfway finished with a third one, which is keeping me riveted.
This weekend is the official Bloggiesta, but I did most of my tasks earlier.
On Netflix, I’m watching Mindhunter…and hope to continue enjoying more of that one this weekend.
One of my appointments this week was hair styling, featuring a purple streak on the side. Fun.
So…what’s next? Well, first, let’s have some more coffee and take a closer look at last week’s blogging and reading:

WHAT’S NEXT?
Currently Reading: Exposed: A Rosato & DiNunzio Novel, by Lisa Scottoline
I’m halfway finished…and may turn the last page by tonight. But, in light of my current plan to savor more of my books, I am enjoying every bit of this one. I love the series, and how each new book features a different lawyer in the Philadelphia law practice.

That was my week…what did yours look like? On Wednesday, I had a salmon and salad dinner with my granddaughter Fiona…here’s a peek:

I see that purple streak!! 🙂
Nice book week…I hope you enjoy NOT THAT I COULD TELL. It was pretty good.
Nice dinner…hope you are having a good weekend.

So many good books on your list. I want to read everything. Hope you have a great week!

Thanks, Yvonne, the purple was an idea I had, and my daughter concurred. The silvering hair needed a flash of color.
Mindhunter is set in the 1970s, and I like the characters and what they are trying to do.
I’m almost finished with Exposed…loving it. I always enjoy Lisa Scottoline.
Have a great week!

Not That I Could Tell and Here We Lie both look like good thrillers. I read a ton of suspenseful reads last year and it just seems like the train keeps rolling this year lol- I am loving all the thrillers I’ve been reading. And Blood Sisters- oh my. that tagline kills me!
Your salmon dinner looks quite delicious. 🙂

Thanks, Greg, I can’t seem to get enough of thrillers. They are all so engaging. That tagline on Blood Sisters gives me the chills and I want to start reading it soon!
The salmon dinner was a wonderful change from my usual soups…
Thanks for visiting…and enjoy your week.

I love that purple streak Laurel and I hope the not so fun appointments were not too awful. I have just spotted the latest Jane Cory book on NG and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed Blood Sisters.

Ooh, I must check out more books from Corry. I tried to get Blood Sisters a while ago, after your review, but it was only recently available here. Talk about anticipation!
The other appointments were mostly tedious, with a lot of waiting around in the Kaiser waiting room with unreliable WiFi!
I’m enjoying the purple, too, Cleo. Thanks for visiting…enjoy your week.

Thanks, Emma, and I love how blogging helps us discover so many great books. Before blogging, I had to rely on whatever I found in bookstores…most of which are now gone…sigh.
Thanks for visiting, and have a great week!

Oh, me, too, Emma…I used to enjoy Borders, which was near the movie theater…and my Sundays were made up of movies, book browsing, and lunch.
We still have Barnes & Noble…but I mostly go there to read and drink the coffee…and check out the bargain tables.

Thanks, Cai, I love dolls…and I think my collection of them has a lot to do with NOT having many when I was a child. I can count them on one hand!
My daughter had dolls because I gave them to her, but she seldom played with them. I still have a couple of the rag dolls people gave her…they sit on my bed. LOL.

Thanks for visiting, Maureen, and I’m enjoying the purple, my substitute for actually coloring my hair, no longer possible due to my recent color dye allergy. The streak works without any issues.
I feel as if I’ve been waiting for Not That I Could Tell for ages. Eager to read it.

Thanks for visiting, Kathy, and when I decided to allow the gray to come through, I started looking at streaks as an alternative to the hair color (to which I had developed an allergy). For some reason (foils?), the streak doesn’t disturb my skin.
