Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another wonderful week of reading, reviewing, and blogging, with cooling temperatures in the 70s and 80s…but with a couple of days in the 90s. I read and reviewed four books, with one of them an ARC and the other three adding to my Read the Books You Buy Challenge which now totals 87 books.
I’ve had a great reading month, too, totaling 15 books in all. Check out my Monthly Wrap-up.
I enjoyed the Netflix movie Our Souls at Night, with Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. It was as wonderful as the book on which it was based.
Returning fall shows, like Grey’s Anatomy and How To Get Away with Murder kept me glued to the TV this week.
Let’s take a look at the month…and let’s grab some more coffee.

Nice temps. We had 90’s to start out early on, then the temp plunged about 20 degrees on Wed and we had 70’s and cooler after that. Not a bad week. One of the early days though the news helpfully pointed out that we were hotter here than in Las vegas. 🙂
How To Get Away w/ Murder seems to get a lot of good buzz. I actually watched the first episode earlier this year, and liked it, but I just haven’t binged it yet. Her Last Goodbye looks good, and I see a lot of people reading Little Fires Everywhere now.
Your food looks delicious as always. 🙂

Thanks, Greg, I love the Shepherd’s Pie that is only on the menu at Marie Callender’s in fall and winter…so I was psyched to find it on Thursday.
How To Get Away with Murder is on Netflix…so you can see the previous seasons. I find I love binge-watching more than episodic viewing. I never watched Scandal on Network (until now), but only after I had binged the first few seasons on Netflix.
Loving the cooler temps. Hope yours stays cool.

How did it get to be October already? I feel like September went by in a blink. I have been so scattered lately, I have hardly read. I need to get back into a regular routine. Really hoping to do so this week. I am hopelessly behind on my blog. Anyway, I have been eyeing that Diane Chamberlain book and the new Harris one and I have been hearing positivity things about the book by Ms. Ng. I will have to watch for your review.

Even though I’ve read all of DeMaio’s books so far, most of them seem to manage as stand-alones, even though recurring characters are brought into each new book.
I hope to read the new one soon. Thanks for stopping by, Mary, and I hope you enjoy the movie Our Souls at Night. It stuck pretty closely to the book version.
Enjoy your week!

Thanks for visiting, Sam, and I don’t know if I’ll do the Read the Books You Buy Challenge again…I’ve done it two years in a row, and it focuses on the newer books. I also need to grab some of the old, “moldy” books off my shelf. LOL. (Seriously, they’re just quietly waiting on Pippa, my Kindle).

Hi Laurel, I just watched the Netflix movie Our Souls at Night yesterday and also enjoyed it quite a bit. The two actors performed it well. Even though the characters were living apart at the end — I thought their call at the very end was hopeful: that they were staying in touch. So glad it wasn’t too dark. It was touching and moving in a small-town kind of way. I might even watch it again sometime. Hope you have a good week!
