HUMP DAY: BOOKISH WEDNESDAY

Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays Here’s how it works:

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?

***

Currently Reading:

It has been a pretty good week of reading so far, so I am now on my third book, The Sister, by Louise Jensen.

29925715

A haunting story of best friends separated by death, and the dying girl’s words:  “I did something terrible Grace. I hope you can forgive me …”

So far, I don’t know what that something terrible is…but I’m about to find out.

It Ends with Us, by Colleen Hoover (Click for my review)

EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:

I can’t wait to get my hands on this book, by a relatively new favorite author:  Echoes of Family, by Barbara Claypole White.  It is coming very soon:  September 27!

Sometimes the only way through darkness is to return to where it began.

Marianne Stokes fled England at seventeen, spiraling into the manic depression that would become her shadow. She left behind secrets, memories, and tragedy: one teen dead, and her first love, Gabriel, badly injured. Three decades later she’s finally found peace in the North Carolina recording studio she runs with her husband, Darius, and her almost-daughter, Jade…until another fatality propels her back across the ocean to confront the long-buried past.

In her picturesque childhood village, the first person she meets is the last person she wants to see again: Gabriel. Now the village vicar, he takes her in without question, and ripples of what if reverberate through both their hearts. As Marianne’s mind unravels, Jade and Darius track her down. Tempers clash when everyone tries to help, but only by finding the courage to face her illness can Marianne heal herself and her offbeat family.

So….this is my Bookish Wednesday.  What does yours look like?

  1. Glad your reading week is going well! I just finished a book last night and started a new one, so I’m humming along. 🙂 I’ve Got Sand looks like a cute summer read, and hope The sister is good. I’m wondering what terrible secret she has too!

    1. Thanks, Greg, I am really enjoying my reading…and because the books are so engaging, the pages are flying, leaving time for another passion of mine: Netflix. I stayed up quite late last night watching Longmire.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week.

I’ve seen The Sister around a few blogs and I have to say it looks really interesting. I’m hoping to read it at some point.
It Ends With Us is on my TBR too. I’ve heard so many great things about Colleen Hoover’s writing and that one seems really interesting to me.
Thanks for stopping by my WWW!

  3. Is it just me or is there something exploding on a lot of covers lately? Like on Hoover’s. Strange but super fascinating and beautiful. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
