Currently Reading:

My reading has been a bit haphazard this week, between watching Netflix and the shows on my DVR (because of last week’s vacation, I’m behind).  But I’m loving Blood Defense, by Marcia Clark, the first in a new series about a defense attorney, Samantha Brinkman, who is representing a cop accused of murder.  The unexpected events that unfold are keeping her on her toes.

Just Finished:

Even though I was away last week, I managed to read and review two books.  My last one was The Girl You Lost, by Kathryn Croft. (Click title for my review).

An intense and engaging story, I was totally immersed in it as I read.

What I’m Eagerly Anticipating:

I saw this book on another blog, and since I’ve read the author, I had to bookmark it on Amazon.  The Lullaby Sky, by Carolyn Brown, a story about second chances, and freedom from the abuse of the past.

    1. Ha-ha…Yes, I am “torn between two lovers,” Netflix and books. I did finish Season 4 of Wentworth last night…and the ending calls for a Season 5 immediately! But alas, there will be a wait. So back to reading!

    1. I think I mixed her up with another author of a similar name! As I checked out her list, I didn’t see any I’d read. My bad. But I still love the look of The Lullaby Sky, and now must explore her other titles, too.

    1. Oh, yes, I love Sleeping with the Enemy, which I watch again and again….and I always love that ending! So, yes, I think The Lullaby Sky will remind me of that movie (and the book it was based on, which I have).

  8. Damn girl, we have similar taste ;-). I have one Marcia Clark to read (different cover though but I think it’s also the first book) and I also still have The Girl with No Past. I wonder if The Lullaby Sky is not a heavy read, not so much in the mood for heavy right now, otherwise it sounds really interesting!

  12. I like the sound of all your books, they are the kind of books that I usually read. I love books that feature lawyers although so far the only legal thrillers that I have read are by Grisham. I will try and get Defense. The Girl you lost seems quite interesting too and I like the cover. I hope you enjoy your next reads. Happy reading 🙂
