Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our new leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at The Book Date.

What a great week we had!  There was some rain, and despite some windy days, the weather was perfect.   All of the books I picked up totally engaged me.  The week started off with a nice get-together with a friend at Barnes & Noble for coffee and chatting.

  1. I could spend a whole day at Barnes and Noble, and it’s always nice to catch up with friends. Glad your reads were all good this week! We had some rain and wind the last few days too, although earlier this week it was good.

Forever Interruped sounds like another winner by Reid. Glad it was good!

    1. I loved Forever, Interrupted, Greg, as well as the other two I’ve read by this author.

Barnes & Noble is a great place to hang out, and it’s funny, because every time I go in the coffee section, some familiar groups are taking up residence on “their” tables and are there for hours….you have to get there very early to get a place to sit…LOL.

      Thanks for stopping by!

Nice martini. Looks Christmas-y 🙂 I will be interested to hear what you think of the Barrymore book. She went thru rough times as a teeny-bopper no doubt. Enjoy the rain & your reading this week!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Susan, and yes, Drew did go through rough times…a few years ago, I read her book about those days: Little Girl Lost.

This one is focused more on the lessons she learned and the good things going in her life now…it has perspective. I’m enjoying it.

And the martini put me in the Christmas spirit! LOL

  3. I’m glad you had such a good week… so nice when everything seems to go right at the same time! I really enjoyed listening to the audio version of Orange is the New Black and have been curious about Out of Orange ever since it was released. Could be a very interesting read!

I love going to Barnes & Noble but good thing for my wallet (and my bookshelves) the store is a bit far for me lol. It feels really good when you find a good book. It’s raining now but this week should be clear skies. I hope you have a great week!!

  5. We had an extremely wet and stormy week here in Oregon. Hoping for drier weather this week. I have heard some great things about the Krentz book. Hope you enjoy your reads and that you have a wonderful week.

    1. As much as we need rain here, I always hope for just enough, and less than the stormy kind. I don’t like that kind of weather…sigh.

I am looking forward to the Krentz book, too. Thanks for visiting, Heidi.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn, and I love that Barnes & Noble is within walking distance…although I never seem to walk there. I usually have bags, books, and other things to carry that make walking cumbersome…LOL.

I hope we both love the new JAK….enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, Cheryl, I feel all warm and cozy at the thought of them…and it looks like we’re in for some rain this week, so it’s curl up time…somewhere.

I might have to go to Barnes & Noble again to pick up some gifts for my youngest grandson. He loves books and movies (and video games, but his mom gets those for him).

      Enjoy your week.

    1. I am looking forward to it, Teresa…it has been hard to keep it at bay until closer to the release date…but I received all of my NetGalley books way ahead of time, so they linger on my Kindle, calling to me. Enjoy your week!

Nice to have a week like that, hope this week continues in that vein. I really liked The Things We Keep, heartbreaking and heartwarming. Happy reading 🙂

    1. Yes, those two paired up on The Cinderella Murder, the first in the series, so I think this partnership is likely to continue.

I enjoyed the Drew Barrymore book….I loved the photos, too, which was why I bought it in hardcover. Thanks for stopping by, Kathy, and have a great week.

  7. Oh, I’m intrigued by Out of Orange. I have to look more into this one. The one by Mary Higgins Clark & Alafair Burke might be something for my mom. I haven’t read Mary Higgins Clark in…. wow, a long time! But my mom used to be a fan and I’ll have to bring this up to her attention. Have a great week!

Thanks for the martini 🙂 Joy Fielding, there was a time when I read every book I found by her at the library, I don’t know why I stopped following her… Ran out of books then and forgot afterward ? I need to read her again, anyway, so thanks for making me think about it. I like the blurb of Here, home, hope. Enjoy your new books and have a great week 🙂

    1. I am eager to read The Things We Keep….I took a segue before starting it though, to read What She Knew, which wasn’t even on my list for this week. LOL.

Thanks for visiting, Elizabeth, and have a great week.
