Good morning, Bloggers! Grab some coffee (or a pot of tea!), and let’s talk about our weeks.

INCOMING BOOKS: (Titles/Covers Linked to Amazon)
I received ONE Vine review book in my mailbox….and downloaded one e-book….
Cancel the Wedding, by Carolyn Dingman (Vine)
A heartfelt fiction debut that will appeal to fans of Emily Giffin’s Southern charm and Jennifer Weiner’s compelling, emotionally resonant novels about the frustrations of blood ties, Cancel the Wedding follows one woman’s journey to discover the secrets of her mother’s hidden past—and confront her own uncertain future.
Ice Cold (e-book), by Tess Gerritsen
A spur-of-the-moment ski trip becomes a bone-chilling nightmare when a wrong turn leaves Boston medical examiner Maura Isles marooned—far from home and help—in the snowbound Wyoming mountains. Seeking shelter from the cold, she and her traveling companions stumble upon Kingdom Come—a remote village of identical houses that seems to have become a ghost town overnight. But the abandoned hamlet has dark secrets to tell, and Maura’s party may not be as alone as they think. Days later, word reaches Boston homicide cop Jane Rizzoli that Maura’s charred remains have been found at the scene of a car crash. But the shocking news leaves Jane with too many questions, and only one way to get answers. Determined to dig up the truth, she heads for the frozen desolation of Kingdom Come, where gruesome discoveries lie buried, and a ruthless enemy watches and waits.

Looks like you’re making good progress on your cleaning and organizing. I’d like to say that you were inspiring me to do the same, but alas, I won’t lie: I’m lazy. 🙂 But someday…maybe next year 😉

Ah, well, I must admit to seven years of laziness, since I moved here that long ago and the garage was an unsorted series of boxes and bins. At least I had shelves, but thanks only to my youngest son, who put them together for me. Sadly, he has moved way up north…do you think it’s so I won’t be able to utilize his services? LOL
Thanks for visiting, Bryan, and enjoy your week.

I’ve read and loved all Tess Gerritsen books. Maura Isles is one of my favorite fictional characters– she is her “own person”, a bit different and mysterious. This book, which introduces a plotline carried on in some of the future books is somewhat of a departure from the tone of her previous in the series, but still very good.
I do want to read Cancel the Wedding also- on my wishlist! Enjoy the week and if I don’t chat with you beforehand, have a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

Keen to hear what you think of the latest Krentz book. I’ve missed the last couple of hers I think!
I also haven’t read any Gerritsen for ages. I watch the TV show and think that perhaps taints the books a little… (If that makes sense!)

That also reminds me that I need to use my pretty china more…it is so easy to just use the Desert Rose Apple, which are really considered “everyday” dishes, or the colorful vintage, Cornflakes logo, for fun…but I enjoy them, too. As you recall, I loved my Coca Cola dishes, but gave them to Heather.
