So many good books–busy week posting for you!
I see a Jonathan Kellerman, and I have read every one of his books except for missing I believe the last 2 or 3. He and I go way way back 🙂
Tears and Tequila looks unassuming by the cover, but I read the blurb and it sounds like a good one. What caught my eye was the recommendation from the president of the Cantor-Fitzgerald relief victims foundation. As a former NYer, I know that C-F had offices at the top of one of the Twin Towers where the plane hit, and lost the most lives of any business. My family knew a few people from that company that didn’t make it, so if he says it’s a good read, that’s high praise.
Thanks for the spotlight on some titles I didn’t know before: Tears & Tequila, Falling into Place, and The Perfect Stranger (I’ve read all but the last 3 WC Staub books too, I shared them with my eldest).

I think I remembered my love of Wendy Corsi Staub from your blog, Rita….and realized it had been too long since I’d read one of hers. I have also missed some Kellerman books over the years. This one was on the bargain table, and before I could buy it, I had to run home and check my Goodreads page, to make sure I hadn’t already read it! LOL
I also am looking forward to Tears and Tequila. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.

Ha! A true book addict and bibliophile–“Excuse me folks while I run home and check out my 7,542 books on my already read list on Goodreads before I purchase this bargain book”.
It’s like when I went to the Friends of the Library fill up a bag sale. I made the *extreme mistake* of taking along my daughter (who doesn’t read!- where did this child o’ mine even come from?). We were going to the mall afterwards. She got impatient and started skimming titles for authors she recognized from my shelves.
“How about this one, Mom?”
“Read it”.
“How about—”
“Read it”.
“Then why are we even here!?” LOL

Yes, hilarious, huh, Rita? However, since I live around the corner from Barnes & Noble, literally within walking distance, it was no big sacrifice to do that!
Did you wonder what I was thinking to move into the same neighborhood as a bookstore and a movie theater? Guilty pleasures on every corner!

A lot of people like Gayle Forman but I have avoided her books. I hear you will cry and I just avoid books that make me cry. I want to read about rainbows, unicorns and happy thoughts! Have a great week.

I try not to read sad books too often…or I mix them up with lighter, happier ones. I don’t usually read YA, but I want to see the movie coming out this next week. Thanks for visiting, Angie, and enjoy your week.

I’ve mostly been watching older movies, like oldies with Diane Keaton…but I’m also watching Sunshine State on my DVR. I watch for a while and then switch to something else, or to reading. I never seem to sit through a whole movie on the DVR. Thanks for visiting, Greg.

I saw one of Staub’s books on a blog last week (Rita’s, I think), and thought: I haven’t read her in ages. Time to change that. I have also had Whiskey Beach on Sparky for a while….I’m loving Saving the Date and even though it has 500 pages, I’m guessing it will be finished soon. Thanks for stopping by, Katherine.

So many interesting books, I have been curious about If I Stay since I have seen previews for the movie, but if it’s sad I don’t think I would read it..lol. I don’t like make you cry books and the movie sounds sad. (Doesn’t mean the ending could be good though..lol) Thanks for stopping by my blog!
