  1. If I Stay was a good choice for me for a YA, which I don’t read many of, and now I am seeing the commercials for the movie version of it. I read it a year or two ago and I remember it fondly as a sweet, kind of sentimental story. If a YA has more going for it than just boy meets girl in high school, then I am more likely to read it. I do want to read We Are Not Ourselves and Thursdays Children after I read the Tuesday and Wednesday book (easy to keep track of the series). I also want DollBaby based on Patty’s good review. Have a great brunch– I love brunch, what a nice choice of a meal. Happy birthday to your daughter.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Rita, and for the happy birthday to my daughter. Like you, I don’t read the typical YA books, but this one does look like it has something special. Like The Fault in Our Stars.

I hope you enjoy the Frieda Klein series.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Trish…I have seen the movie previews of If I Stay, so I thought I should read the book first. Wrong Girl has been keeping me up at night! I woke several times to resume reading.

My summer is coming to an end, so I’m trying to read everything I can while I still have time. Crazy!

I’m very curious about If I Stay and We are Not Ourselves. I think I’ll head over to your review of WANO and see what you thought.

    Here’s my Sunday Salon!

I don’t read any YA anymore. I enjoyed your summer reference — it made me think Summertime and the blogging is easy,… Which it both is and is not.

  4. The Interestings is one of my favorite reads this year, so I’m very interested in Belzhar. Have also been considering Dollbaby, too.

I read A.J. Fikry this week and will finish The Thoughts and Happenings of Wilfred Price Purveyor of Superior Funerals today.

    Enjoy brunch today!

  5. Enjoyed your review of Thursday’s Children by Nicci French. Your list for the coming week looks interesting. I’ve listened to the audio version of The Wrong Girl by Hank Phillippi Ryan and enjoyed it. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Good to hear that you are enjoying the hot weather and had a profitable week of writing posts. None of the books are familiar to me, although would be interesting to read Jodi Picoult’s novella. Will wait to see what you say about it.

I am very interested on your thoughts on Belzhar! I’ve been on the fence about whether I should add it to my TBR list. 🙂

    Have a great week!

    1. I should have my review up this afternoon, Brandie…I am surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed it, since I’m not really a fan of YA…but the story was beautifully metaphorical. Thanks for stopping by.
