Are you enjoying your summer? Or the opposite season for those living down under? I can’t believe that July is almost half over, but when I got my utility bill with the air conditioning charges, I totally believed we are in the midst of a “long hot summer.”

I received one book in my mailbox that I purchased, and I downloaded one purchased e-book. A nice quiet week for new books.

I am a big fan of both authors. Thursday’s Children is the fourth book in the Frieda Klein series; and the Diane Chamberlain book is one I hadn’t yet read or seen around the blogosphere.

Big Little Lies has such an epic cover. LOVE IT! And ugh…I get you with the summer heat and air con bills. Little downside there, but ohh, how I wish for summer. I’m so tired of winter right now and reading all the American’s blogs with their summers? I’M PRETENDING NOT TO BE JEALOUS. Haha! My Sunday Post!

I think Frieda is such an interesting character….I wonder if the author will end this series with Friday? Or will she do the weekend, too? I’ll miss Frieda when the series is over.

Our summer is cooler than usual (mostly in the 70s this year) so I’m enjoying that!
I don’t think I’ve read a Chamberlain book but that cover makes me want to kiss a baby 🙂

Oh, wow, Mary, there are so many awesome Chamberlain books…I wouldn’t know which one to urge you to try first! LOL.
That baby is definitely adorable. I miss babies…all of my grandkids are teens, or almost teens.

Thankfully our summer has been fairly mild so far. Yesterday was the first day that broke 100 (at least it was supposed to) and next week we even have one day forecasted in the mid 70s. Unheard of for Dallas! Can’t wait!
Pain, Parties, Work was a fascinating read–I loved it on audio. Enjoy your week! And stay cool!!

Yummmm I love iced tea, peach or raspberry flavours are my favourites. I can drink that all year round, even though it’s cold here in Australia.

We aren’t having a hot summer. I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times we’ve turned on the AC. It pretty much equals the number of times we’ve turned on the heat. It had made for some good reading days though. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

Now, that you spelled it out…yes, July is almost over !!! Quite hot here in South East England this week, mid 80’s – this is quite unusual here even in summer.
