  1. I like potato salad but rarely make it – not sure why. I’ve been potting flowers this weekend and we painted our good old wrought iron table and chairs.
Enjoy your light (incoming books) week. I had only one in my mailbox as well.

  2. Lighter weeks are nice breathers, enjoy.

I like potato salad but it’s not a food item I make for myself. I like egg salad too.

Oh, Whiskey Beach, that’s on my wishlist. I’ve heard good things about it.

    Enjoy your weekend!

    1. I’m struggling with tired eyes at this moment….it’s hard to read when my eyes are tired, so I’m worried that the new week will feel like drudgery for me, too. Thanks for stopping by, Mystica, and have a great week.

  3. My (German) family always makes potato salad on special occasions / celebrations and my dad always does it on Christmas eve, In fact, I think I know what to make today now 🙂
The Fault in our stars – seen very mixed reviews on this and have put it on my list of books to get. Have a great week and Happy Reading.

    1. I hesitated about The Fault in Our Stars…not a big fan of YA, but the movie previews I’ve seen make me want to read the book before seeing it. Thanks for stopping by, Peggy…and enjoy your holiday and whatever you make today.

  4. I totally agree that sometimes when you get less books it’s easier to breath. But you’ve got amazing ones. I really hope you’ll enjoy The Fault in Our Stars. Enjoy your weekend :))

  5. We are having a Bank Holiday weekend here in UK instead of Memorial Day. It has been raining for most of the weekend, so I’ve just been inside and reading. Tonight I am watching a hockey game, but other than that, I think I’ll just keep reading.

Have a good Memorial Day weekend 🙂

  6. Potato salad is one of those sides I only seem to eat for holidays, and I’m sure there will be some over the next couple of days. Hope I can read The Fault in Our Stars before the movie comes out (very soon now, I think) and Cutting Teeth sounds like my kind of read, too. Enjoy the long weekend!

    1. Thanks, JoAnn…and I hope to read the Green book before the movie, too.

There is something about potato salad that does seem to scream “holiday”! Thanks for stopping by…enjoy your weekend.

  8. Mmmm, potato salad! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend; I hope you have lovely weather and plenty of time to read. Enjoy your new books! I need to read TFIOS too. And Nora Roberts is usually good; I didn’t realize this one was out in paperback.

  9. Happy Memorial Day weekend. Whiskey Beach is on my wish list. I just love her suspense books. I now have a craving for potato salad. I’m going to have to dig out my recipe book. 🙂

    1. Yes, those recipes that I accumulated over the years….well, my daughter has them all! She does most of the family events these days. I love her potato salad. Thanks for stopping by, Gin.

  10. I LOVE potato salad but my husband doesn’t so I don’t have it too often because then I’d eat the whole thing on my own! Whiskey Beach looks really fun and it’s been on my bookshelf far too long. Will definitely have t o pick it up soon. Looks like you got some great books! Have a great week!

    1. I really need to stop buying books until I catch up on the ones on my shelves! I don’t think that’s going to happen, though….thanks for stopping by, Katherine. Hope you have a great weekend, potato salad or not.

I have sometimes bought potato salad from the deli, but it doesn’t taste as good as homemade.

The potato salad looks yum! I didn’t enjoy Whiskey Beach as much as some of her other recent ones. Hope you enjoy it though.

    1. Yes, I loved The Witness, too, and have The Collector on Sparky, along with Whiskey Beach. Soon, I hope! Thanks for stopping by, Teddyree, and now I am drooling for potato salad! What did I start here? LOL

  13. I am longing for good potato salad for my Memorial Day BBQ – and here it is! My deli changed their recipe so now I’m searching for a new brand. I’m too lazy to make it myself with all that potato peeling.

I can’t believe I still haven’t read The Fault in Our Stars. I’m sure it’s as good as everyone says. I’ll probably see the movie first at the rate I’m reading.

    1. Since my kids are away doing other things, I may have to resort to the deli potato salad, too. Potato peeling is not a favorite thing…LOL

Thanks for stopping by, Leslie, and enjoy your week. I want to read TFIOS before the movie comes out.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Cheryl, and enjoy your holiday. I am eager to read TFIOS, even though I don’t often read YA books and haven’t read this author. But I am captivated by the movie previews…and enjoy that new popular actor (Shailene Woodley) whom I also watched in the TV show The Secret Life of the American Teenager…and the movie The Descendants.

  14. Potato Salad is one of my weaknesses! I love it but unfortunately I only really have it when I’m in Germany. ‘You Should Have Known’ sounds really good and I hope you enjoy TFIOS, although I didn’t really manage to get into it. Thanks for sharing 🙂 I hope you enjoy all of them!
