My blogging picked up this past week…and I also spent some time on my website, getting ready to incorporate my newest book into it.  My thoughts have also turned toward Bloggiesta, which is happening next weekend!

Our weather here has turned spring-like, and I spent some time on the patio.

  1. Patty

You had a very busy week…I think I finished two books but it feels to me as though I am reading really slowly! I have to pick it up…lol!

    1. Yes, my reading has felt slow this week, too. I think the books are just more complex than the mysteries I read sometimes. And a bit longer, too. My eyes get tired! LOL

      Thanks for stopping by, Patty.

    1. Yes, we had a Mini-Bloggiesta a few weeks ago; this one is the main spring event.

True Blend, if it’s like the others by this author, is about relationships, issues like friendship, etc. Not cozy, but a nice, feel-good read.

Thanks for stopping by, Bea, and enjoy your week.

    1. What I enjoy about Bloggiesta is how you can do as much or as little as you choose…and you get to visit other blogs.

But yes…you would have to be on the computer some. Hope you find the right balance for you, Lori, and thanks for stopping by.

    1. Good for you! I’ll be watching for your Bloggiesta makeover. I get very excited about it! LOL

I keep feeling sad for those of you who still have snow…may spring come soon, Angie. Thanks for visiting.

  3. Looks like you had a good week, so many good books! I have 5 of your choices either on my wishlist or my kindle. I liked your review of Elizabeth is Missing and look forward to the review of And the Dark Sacred Night tomorrow. Are you doing a cover reveal here when you have it for your new book? And what is the title again, so I can put it on my wishlist 🙂 thanks.

    1. Oh, yes, I’ll be showing the cover everywhere, Rita…LOL. It’s called “Interior Designs,” and it’s about a woman who is an interior designer, but whose marriage fell apart; she is now “redesigning” her life. It’s kind of a sequel to Embrace the Whirlwind, as the MC is the antagonist in that book. TMI?

Thanks for stopping by, and my review is now up here on this blog for And the Dark Sacred Night. Loved it!

  5. I’m really curious about Reconstructing Amelia. And I really enjoyed your excerpt of Interior Designs- I like how at the end there Martha is wondering who may be following or watching her. Sounds like she has a lot of things on her plate to work out.

    1. Oh, thanks, Greg…I’m glad you liked the excerpt. I have been “marinating” that novel since 2010, when I started it during NaNoWriMo. Hopefully it will be like fine wine…improved with age. LOL

Glad you could stop by, and I’m excited about Reconstructing Amelia, too.

  6. Fantastic new reads, Laurel-Rain. Most of your books always wind up on my TBR list, and this week is no exception. I’m a little jealous that you’re able to enjoy your patio. I think it will be a few more weeks before I can comfortably sit outside. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  7. Looked like a really great week! The Life List really sounds intriguing. Although, it’s not my usual cup of tea (I imagine I would get all anxious reading it LOL) but I’m looking forward to what you’ll say about it in your review. 🙂 Thanks for dropping by my Sunday Post earlier and have a great week ahead!

  8. I only finished one book last week, hoping to do better this week. Reconstructing Amelia seems to be doing the blog rounds. Enjoy your new reads and have a great week 🙂

    1. When I first started it, I was afraid the whole thing would be in text…but then I realized that the perspectives change frequently, which I enjoy in a book. Thanks for stopping by, Teddyree…enjoy your week. I’m sure your reading will pick up!

  9. I love love love this cover for Breakfast at Tiffany’s! I’m not sure why, it really speaks to me.
I enjoyed Reconstructing Amelia. It had a good pace and mystery.
    Enjoy you reading! 🙂

    1. I had the same reaction, Kay…I don’t know what the other covers looked like for this book, but this one definitely caught my eye.

I am enjoying Reconstructing Amelia so far…and I like the pace,, too. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy your week.

    1. I think that will be the case for me, too, as the excerpt I read had fantastic prose, which shouldn’t surprise me. I read In Cold Blood by Capote.

Thanks for visiting, Sam, and enjoy your week.

  10. The film version of Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a favourite of mine and I’m always telling myself to read the book but it’s just getting round to fitting it in – I hear it differs from the film in some aspects.
    Happy Reading!

    1. I know…downloading it is one thing, while finding time to read is another. I have been determined to read more of my purchased books this year, but those review books keep enticing me. What a dilemma! Thanks for visiting, Jade…enjoy your week.

What a great reading week Laurel and lots of new books to choose from. Can’t wait for patio time, but it might be Memorial Day as we still have a few snow piles and it’s 19 degrees this morning.

    1. Oh, I’m sorry to hear about the ever-present snow! I have never wanted to live in snowy climes. We are close enough to the mountains here to “visit” snow whenever we like. Thanks for visiting, Diane, and enjoy your week.

  13. I was so surprised by how different Breakfast at Tiffany’s the book compares to the movie. Cute book cover! Enjoy all your books (maybe outside on the patio!) and have a good week 🙂

    1. I have always lived in California…but have traveled from the West Coast to the East Coast, and some places in between. Despite our earthquakes and wildfires, I still feel comfortable here. I guess it’s what we get used to…thanks for stopping by.

I am feeling impatient as I await my cover reveal, followed by the roll-out on Amazon. It’s been a little over five years since my last book came out. I’m very excited.
