Good morning! Today’s post will link up to Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post, and Book Journey, for What Are You Reading?
**Mailbox Monday is now hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
Good morning, Bloggers! Grab some coffee, and let’s talk about our weeks.
This week has been less about reading and blogging, and more about polishing up my newest WIP, Interior Designs, which I hope to have published within the next couple of months. I’ve been busily excerpting on my Creative Journey blog.…and doing another read-through. It seems that the rereading is never done, but when I do it after a breather, as I have done this time, I am able to read for flow and continuity, rather than for finding the words.
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOGS:
Take a Risk on Tuesday: Intros/Teasers – The Wife, the Maid, and the Mistress
Hump Day Sparks: Eagerly Awaiting “Goodnight June”
Thursday Potpourri: Obsessive Book Buying

Now that two months are almost behind us, I am more determined than ever to seriously cut down on review books and concentrate on my TBR stacks. I can hope, can’t I?

I know….I can’t believe it is the end of February already.
Nice post. Wife-in-Law looks so good. 🙂
THANKS for sharing.

Time really is flying, isn’t it? Good luck with your WIP. I’m trying to get my act together and get back to writing. I, too, cut back on reviews and tours. We’ll see how it goes.
Have a great week!

Thanks for stopping by, Yvonne. I haven’t done any blog tours this year, and have really cut down on Author Review requests, but there are some I can’t resist.
Enjoy your week, and now I’m off to do some more on my WIP.

You can definitely whittle down Mt. TBR. I am whittling down both my personal and my review TBR piles and it feels good. 🙂 Finding a balance can be tricky but it’s definitely doable.
Good luck finishing up your WIP. 🙂

Nice variety of books. All I did was read last week and thought I was making a dent in my stacks and then took a look. I think I need to spread the stacks out around the house maybe!? LOL

Ha-ha…whatever works! Mine used to be on the floor in my bedroom, but now they’re in my office atop a bookcase…and seven really chunky ones are on the floor near the computer desk. My stacks are considerably smaller than they were….less than 40.
Thanks for stopping by, Nise, and enjoy your week.

The Spectacular Now looks like a heart-warming story and a cute movie. I can’t believe Shailene Woodley is in it too. She’s on a roll with leads in Divergent and Fault in Our Stars movies coming up. Let me know if the “Spectacular” book is any good. Cheers. http://www.thecuecard.com/

Denting the TBR does seem like a dream for me these days! I recently culled over 100 books but still find myself accepting new ones for review. Make me stop!!!

I’m glad that I have less than 40 books on my stacks now (that I’ve purchased, or won). The review books don’t stick around long, as I hurry to finish them. I stopped doing blog tours, because they only added to my stacks…and the deadlines felt too much like work!
Thanks for stopping by, Colleen, and enjoy your reading.(and culling).

All of them sound like ‘must reads’ to me, I kept thinking when reading your post and looking at the covers ‘yes, that one stands out’. ‘and that one’ ‘and that one’ 🙂 I’ve certainly realised that keeping up with the blog and reviewing digs into your reading time, but I also seem to read with more of a purpose, if you know what I mean.
