Ohhh I read Still Alice and The Bookstore last year. Both are great reads, in very different ways. There was a character I loved to hate in The Bookstore – made things interesting. 😉

I’m curious about A Desirable Residence. Looks like we’ll be reading some of the same books in the next few weeks, as I have ARCS of Return to Tradd Street and The Book Store. A copy of The Wife, The Maid and The Mistress waiting for me at the library.

I’ve read quite a few Sophie Kinsella books but none of her Madeleine Wickham ones. I listened to Still Alice and really enjoyed it!

Yes, when I first read Wickham (Sleeping Arrangements), I wasn’t even aware that she was the alter-ego of Sophie Kinsella. I have enjoyed this version of her. I have been wanting to read Still Alice for quite awhile.

As I mentioned, I had already bought the MW book (my first one in this incarnation) before I realized she was also Sophie Kinsella. It was great to see another side to her writing.

Will be interested to your thoughts on The Bookstore. I read it from NetGalley and I saw it on the local book store shelves here in NZ. I must look up to see how it is doing out in the land of books since it published.

Still Alice is so well-written! A tough subject because my father-in-law had Alzheimer’s but in Genova’s capable hands I found it to be a wonderful novel.
