That’s what my weeks, past and future, look like.  Come on by and let’s chat….with coffee and/or mimosas.

  1. I’m getting my reading challenges in order for next year already. There are a few I won’t finish this year, but I’m okay with that. I just love to participate in these things. I used to stress out so much about it, but not anymore. It’s fun.

A few of your books caught my attention. They look good. Enjoy!

    Have a great week.

    My Sunday post is here.

    1. I like your attitude about the challenges, Yvonne…perhaps I will join a couple…lol. Or more. I always join one that addresses that TBR pile…and it helps. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your week.

    1. I had similar experiences with my challenges, and have decided to repeat only the ones that were successfully completed this time around. If I add others will be something yet to decide. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your reads.

    1. I preordered The Runaway Wife, as I have enjoyed other books by this author…and then impulsively downloaded The Theory of Opposites after realizing another favorite author had a new book out.

Thanks for stopping by, Kimba, and enjoy your week!

  2. Laurel, I might as well get out my pad and jot down a wishlist of every book you read this week or are upcoming next. I kept nodding and say ooh, ooh at each blurb 🙂
Some are already on my wishlist. Erica Spindler and Laura Lippman are authors who I usually read on name alone. Allison Winn Scotch is another I have read a couple by and enjoyed. JoJo Moyes I have heard so much about that I put two of her books on my list. The Runaway Wife and Playing Dead also look so good to me.
Here’s a recommendation for you: The Deepest Secret by Carla Buckley, releasing 2/4/14 from Bantam. Similar to that Maynard book we both read this year but taking place over just a very short time span. Great characterization and a bit of intrigue about neighbors’ secrets.
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. I am smiling here as I read your comment, and I can say that I have this experience at your blog, too. I have added The Deepest Secret…sounds like my kind of read. The cul-de-sac alone (described in your blurb) was enough to pique my interest. Thanks for visiting, Rita, and enjoy your week.

  3. Looks like some good stuff coming up… the All Girl Filling station looks like a nice comfort read. I’m excited for the holidays but the new year- yeah I could wait on that. 🙂 Have a great week!

  4. I’d be excited about every one of those books, so much so that I’m not sure I can pick a favorite. As for my reading goal, I’m currently 1 behind where I should be. But thankfully it’s small enough that I should be able to make it up in the next few weeks.

  5. I’m starting to think about 2014 book challenges too. I’m such a mood reader that I may skip challenges next year, but I do love making the book lists 🙂

I really like the sound of The Theory of Opposites. Hope you enjoy it, and have a great week!

  6. I’ve completed two out of three challenges I signed up for – actually going above and beyond. That was a nice surprise! I’m not sure if I’ll participate in challenges next year. We’ll see!

    1. Ooh, exciting for you, Kathryn….I actually had two retirements. I retired from my primary career, and then, after a short break, did a three-year-stint at a private agency, which added to the funds…lol. Hope you enjoy the extra reading time, and thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks, Trish…I do love Sparky, too; I imagine that the device is “kindling” or “igniting” my reading experience…lol. Thanks for stopping by, and I am looking forward to it, too. Have a great week.

    1. I love that cover, too; and I enjoyed another book by this author, so I’m eager to read it. Also The Theory of Opposites, but that will happen later, after all the review books are done. Thanks for stopping by, Majanka, and enjoy your week.

  7. I hope you enjoy Fannie Flagg’s book as much as I did. I’m really looking forward to reading the new Allison Winn Scotch book. Great buzz on the book blogs for that one. Have a good week!

  8. Teddyree

The Theory of Opposites is supposed to be great, hope you enjoy it. I’ve got The Girl You Left Behind on my tbr stack. Playing Dead hmm interesting, will have to check out what it’s about. Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

    1. I am really loving the Fannie Flagg book…review should be up later today. As usual, it took me a few pages to connect, but then I was off and running, totally immersed. Thanks for stopping by, Lark, and enjoy your week…and congrats on your Goodreads Challenge.
