WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES: READING, A BLOGOVERSARY, & A BIRTHDAY

Good morning!  Today’s post will link up to Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post,  Book Dragon’s Lair, for Mailbox Monday, and Book Journey, for What Are You Reading?

Another week seemingly flew by, and before we know it, November will be upon us!

My birthday was Friday, and among the various fun things I enjoyed, one was lunch at the neighborhood Pismo’s.

Today I’ve been lolling about and reading, watching shows on my DVR, and planning to eat dinner at my daughter’s house.

    1. I had seen Before I Go To Sleep around, but when I wrote my review of How To Be a Good Wife, someone remarked that there were similarities between the books, but that BIGTS was better. So I had to check it out! Thanks for stopping by, Booker Talk.

  2. Hi Laurel-Rain,

A belated Happy Birthday wish for last week and I hope that dinner with your daughter today is lovely.

You have so mnay great books this week, that I am almost tempted to add them all to my own list, although that would be a little extreme!

I know that the Watson book ‘Before I Go To Sleep’, is quite an old book now, but I have never read it and always meant to, so that has to be the new addition to my list.

Thanks for sharing, enjoy your books and have a good week.

    1. Yes, I had noticed the Watson book awhile ago, and thought: someday. But when I read the comparison to How To Be a Good Wife, I had to grab it. Thanks for stopping by, Yvonne…and for the birthday wishes. Had a great dinner with family last night. Enjoy your weekend.

Rita Mae’s cat (Mrs. Murphy) and horse (Sister Jane) series are very similar but I didn’t think they were like her other books. . . or maybe I picked the wrong book to read (Rubyfruit Tuesday)

    Happy Birthday!!

    1. You’re right….her other books are quite different, I suspect; haven’t read the animal ones, but they seem like cozy mysteries. Thanks for stopping by, Book Dragon. And thanks for the birthday wishes.

    1. Good question, Kathryn….I don’t do much else but read, write, and blog! I need to get more exercise! I guess that’s why some people do audio.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the birthday wishes. Enjoy your week!
