Good morning! Today’s post will link up to Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post, Notorious Spinks Talks Books, for September’s Mailbox Monday, and Book Journey, for What Are You Reading?
Today I’m celebrating the first signs of fall…it shows up in the crisper air in the mornings, and the cooling down at night. Fall is like a New Beginning for me. Even though the days of school are long behind, for me and for my kids, I still enjoy the energy through my grandkids.
Over the Labor Day holiday, I took some time off to see the Lee Daniels’ The Butler movie. Wonderful!
And now, as a nod to New Beginnings, I am combining all the Sunday/Monday Posts into this one. So let’s begin.

You always feature such interesting books on your blog! I also want to see The Butler; it sounds wonderful. I enjoyed the cooler weather earlier this week and yesterday, but it’s warming up again now, so I think summer hasn’t quite finished with us yet! Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier today.

Thanks, Lark…glad you enjoy them. And The Butler was so wonderful that I’m sure I’ll order the DVD when it comes out. I’ll love it more, then, as it’s a long one. Pausing is a nice feature of DVD players.

We’re still in the upper 80s during the day, but the leaves are just starting to turn and fall off the trees. Early for us. I wonder if that means it’s going to be a bad winter? Hmmmm…
My husband loves Mary Higgins Clark and the Monk books. He was surprised that Lee Goldberg stopped writing them and they’re being written by someone else now. He has the new one from the library, so we’ll see if he likes the book as much as the others. 🙂

Sounds good….I think we’re still in the 90s-100s, but it’s slowly working it’s way down. Mornings and evenings are good.

Thanks for stopping by, Yvonne, and I highly recommend The Butler. Although I’ve noticed that some were disappointed that there wasn’t much about life in the White House. I thought there was enough of it…and the Civil Rights historic events were fitting.

It’s been much cooler here as well. I always say I want to live someplace where it’s warm all the time, but I think that just because I hate winter so much. I do really enjoy the fall for the most part. At least the beginning of fall. lol. Great haul! Have an awesome week.

Busy week for you, Laurel–wonderful! I see you have The Good Wife and Just What Kind of Mother Are You. Both of those on my wishlist already. I can predict a good week of reading ahead of you based on all your goodies. I also have grandkids who started school, kindergarten, first grade and fifth–how the time flies since I just put my own kids on the school bus! Bittersweet because my grandkiddies live far away. Thanks for the book selections and the chance to talk about my lil’ ones 🙂
