Welcome to another Sunday Salon. And with the New Year around the corner, what are your plans? Any resolutions?
I do hope to spend more time in a “balanced” state of mind. Less obsessing, more healthy choices. Later I’ll do an actual resolutions list.
Part of that process is to participate in reading challenges, and I’ve signed up for four. You can find my choices in the sidebar at Curl up and Read.
But before I get ahead of myself, let’s take a look at last week.
On the Blogs:
Not that great in terms of reading. I have only finished two books, but probably will finish a third one today.
Here’s my Saturday Snapshot post that shows some Christmas moments.
Monday Potpourri spotlighted my Ten Favorite Books of 2012.
Books Read & Reviewed (Click Titles/Covers for Reviews):
1. How to Be Single, by Liz Tuccillo
2. Three Moons Over Sedona (e-book), by Sherry Hartzler
And today I’m reading Murder at Blue Falls (e-book), by Maggie Bishop.
Happy New Year! I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating in whatever way you do. I’ll be reading and watching movies. Yesterday I watched two movies that I really enjoyed:
Arbitrage, with Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon, etc.
and The Words, with Bradley Cooper and Dennis Quaid.
Have any of you seen them? What did you think?
Wishing you a wonderful New Year. Haven’t seen either of those movies but I do love Richard Gere. We’ve just enjoyed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Inception 🙂

Oh, I loved The Best Exotic, too! I watched it a few weeks ago. Definitely one to watch again and again….
I think Richard Gere gets better and better…I have Unfaithful, and watch that one over and over, as I enjoy Diane Lane, too.
Thanks for visiting, Teddyree, and have a fabulous New Year.

We love to spend New Year’s Eve watching an old series or a string of movies. Haven’t decided what to pick yet. Thanks for the reminder! Happy New Year!

That has been one of my favorite traditions on New Year’s Eve: movies, popcorn, and Champagne at midnight. Enjoy your New Year’s, Deb, and thanks for visiting.

You read more than I did. With the holidays and company my reading dwindled down to almost nothing. Happy New Year!

Even though hedge funds are a mysterious thing to me, I still loved and was able to (pretty much) follow this one. Definitely held my attention. Thanks for stopping by, Yvonne, and have a great New Year.

I did enjoy it a lot, Susan…it’s about finances and hedge funds, which I don’t understand that well, but it was presented in a great way. I couldn’t stop watching. I love Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in a movie together. Hope you enjoy it.
