Welcome to the first Sunday Salon of December!
Today is a rainy one…in fact, the past couple of days have been wet. A good day to curl up and read and watch movies, along with cups of tea.
The week has been a lot more productive than I anticipated.

A nice variety in my books this week. And now I’m reading The Search, by Nora Roberts. Mystery, murder, and dogs.
Earlier today, I also watched some movies….one was We Need to Talk About Kevin…a very weird flick.
Has anyone seen this? Or read the book? What were your thoughts?
Have a great day…and enjoy the new week (and new month!).
I love the pictures you included for this one. I’m a big tea fan myself. We made an order for Harney and Sons for their free shipping sale and some samples last week but they’re being a bit slow to ship. Can’t WAIT for it to get here.
I have a lot of Nora Roberts to read. I was hoping to find a challenge for it in 2013

Thanks, Erin…I did have fun picking out my “tea drinking” photos. Thanks for stopping by, and I’m really enjoying The Search.

We Need to Talk About Kevin was a difficult book to read. Painful. I doubt if I will see the movie.

After watching the movie, I’m almost afraid to read the book. The movie was grim, and all the characters were unlikeable, especially Kevin. But the mother and father were so flawed as well.
Thanks for stopping by, Deb.

I agree, Lori….and it’s also good for movie watching. I have more than 800 movies in my collection, so there’s always something I can enjoy.
Thanks for stopping by.

I think I’m a bit afraid of the “Kevin” movie & the book – so I haven’t partaken yet. But Tilda Swinton is usually pretty great. What did you think? Enjoy your rain and I will enjoy my snow, ha. cheers http://www.thecuecard.com/

Thanks for visiting, Susan….I would have a hard time recommending the movie, even though Tilda did a great job. I just didn’t like the characters in the movie…none of them! And there was no happy ending…not even a hopeful ending.

Some great books on your list. I used to love Nora Roberts and Diane Chamberlain’s books. I haven’t read any in awhile and I really should. Have a great week.

Hmmm. I didn’t even know We Need to Talk about Kevin was a movie. I’ll have to check it out. But only after I read the book. 🙂

I haven’t read the book yet…and probably shouldn’t have watched the movie first. But now I’m curious about the book.
Thanks for stopping by, Rachel…enjoy your week.
