TSS: RAINY DAYS & READING/MOVIE WATCHING — MARCH 18

Welcome to another Sunday Salon, our gathering place for chatting about our week in reading, blogging, etc.

This has been a rainy weekend, which has worked out perfectly for reading, blogging, and movie watching.

Today I cleared out my DVR of the movies I wanted to watch and set the recorder for some more.

Rainy Days

I had some fun with blog posts this week.  At An Interior Journey, I reviewed a movie I enjoyed.

My midweek post, Hump Day Potpourri:  Bookish Surprises & Treats was a nice way to break up the week.

Then I did someShuffling Things Around & Creative Makeovers.

Today’s post, Saturday Potpourri:  Irish Mementos, was a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

And now for the bookish moments:  click titles or book covers for my reviews….

1.  Outside the Lines, by Amy Hatvany

2.  The Accidental Feminist, by M. G. Lord

3.  What Happened to Hannah, by Mary Kay McComas

4.  Why We Broke Up, by Daniel Handler & Maira Kalman

***

And now I’m reading Blue Monday, by Nicci French, the first book in a new series featuring a London psychotherapist.

Have a happy weekend, whether you are enjoying rain or sunshine…or snow.

What are your favorite things to do when the weather is challenging?

    1. After catching up yesterday, I recorded some more last night…lol

I do like to have a cache of stuff waiting for special moments, like just before going to sleep at night, or rainy Sundays.

Thanks for stopping by, Melissa, and have a great week.

It can be very nice to have rainy days. It seems to slow us down and allow us to do things we might not have otherwise chosen.

    Have a lovely week!

  2. I went back to read your review of Young Adult. I’ve been interested in seeing that and now am even more interested than previously.

I think I’m like you in that I like to catch up on reading and movies when it rains…but also naps, if I’m not at work.

    1. Hope you like it, unfinished person. And, like you, I’m becoming a big fan of naps.

On my big comfy sofa around midday. I need them in order to stay up past nine!

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend.

    1. Enjoy the day, Sheila! Thanks for stopping by…I’ve been hanging around online, searching for a movie I saw back in the 1990s, made for Lifetime, I think, called Stop at Nothing. Starred Veronica Hamel…

I actually found it on Amazon.uk, but they can’t ship it to any of my addresses! Sucks….

I used to have it on VHS tape…but somewhere along the way, I think I sold it in a garage sale along with a lot of other tapes. My bad.

  3. When it’s raining, I always like to read and/or watch movies. I especially feel that way when I’m at work, when it seems to rain the most! I hope you have a great week and thanks for dropping by my blog earlier today!
