TSS: GETTING IN THE HOLIDAY MOOD — DEC. 4

Welcome, Blog World!  It’s going to be Christmas before we know it!

Join in today’s Sunday Salon to share your thoughts about reading, blogging, and life…including the holidays.

I’ve been doing some blog decorating this week, including posts about “decking the halls.”

Here are some of my posts:

WEEKEND THOUGHTS FROM THE INTERIOR

Yesterday I took a break from reading and blogging to see this movie…

Michelle Williams totally inhabited that role!  I haven’t seen such a great MM performance…ever!

I loved how they captured a moment in time and took us there so completely.

This week, I’ve done some reading, too.

Books Read and Reviewed-Click Titles for Reviews:

1.  The Accidental Activist, by Alon Shalev (Read Nov. 10, but reviewed 11/28 for blog tour)

2.  Second Nature (e-book), by Jacquelyn Mitchard

3.  Shockaholic, by Carrie Fisher

4.  The Kingdom of Childhood, by Rebecca Coleman

5.  V is for Vengeance, by Sue Grafton

So that was my week!  I’m already primed up for the new one.

But today I’ll probably start watching some movies I’ve recorded on my DVR.  What about you?  Come on by and share some thoughts….

  1. Where did you find the time to read so much this week? Ha! I’ve been trying to get the decorations for the tree up and get little girl school parties together. 🙂 I have been reading The Cat’s Table by Michael Ondaatje and love it!

  2. You got through some serious reading this week! My wife and I did manage to make it to a movie this weekend, Breaking Dawn Part I. It’s not really my thing, but my wife enjoys it so much.

Earlier today I completed my reading of George R.R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones. I’m looking forward to a good month of festive cheer with friends and family!

    1. Kudos on finishing A Game of Thrones. I’m with you on not really enjoying the Twilight movies (or books). But sometimes we have to do things outside our comfort zone for those we love.

Thanks for stopping by, Jeremy, and enjoy your weekend.

  3. I’m looking forward to seeing Marilyn, I really like Michelle Williams. I read Postcards from the Edge and its follow-up and so I’d like to read Shockaholic. I’m glad to see you recommend it; I think Carrie Fisher is a very good writer.

    Have a good week.

    1. I have the book and the movie of Postcards from the Edge, one of my favorite Carrie Fisher books. In fact, now that she’s on my mind, I might just watch the movie again today!

Thanks for stopping by, Helen…hope you enjoy the book. Also hope you enjoy the movie about Marilyn.

  4. I think Michelle Williams is great! So I’ll definitely check out ‘Marilyn’ once it hits the theatres over here.

I’m amazed (okay, and kind of envious ;)) at how much you’ve read – and blogged in November!
