Good morning, and welcome to another edition of The Sunday Salon. That would be the groggy, post-holiday edition.
Are any of the rest of you still “stuffed” from holiday feasts? Not only did I have the traditional Thursday one, but also celebrated individually with one granddaughter, and then had another get-together yesterday with several out-of-town family members.
Here are some shots:
I must say, though, that the family part outshone the food, even though the food was excellent!
Then there was some blogging this week, along with posts that were favorites of mine:

HUMP DAY POTPOURRI – CELEBRATING LITTLE TREASURES
THURSDAY POTPOURRI – HAPPY THANKSGIVING

You Are My Only, by Beth Kephart (Click title for review)
It’s a Waverly Life, by Maria Murnane (Click title for review)
3. Birds of Paradise, by Diana Abu-Jaber (Click title for review)
Today I’ll be reading this one:
Second Nature, by Jacquelyn Mitchard
What was your week like? Did you enjoy special family moments? Read a lot of books? See some movies? I hope you’ll stop by.
Tons of wonderful family moments. My youngest son finally read Wicked – which I’ve been encouraging him to read for years. Now I feel like I really need to work out – hopefully I’ll loose the couple of pounds I gained before Christmas cookies invade my house!

I had a lovely week off but I didn’t get any books finished. Odd for me!

Looks like fun. I definitely need to hit the gym post Thanksgiving as well.

The worst part for me was I didn’t even go to the gym this week! So it’ll be a harder workout come Monday. Thanks for stopping by, Laura, and enjoy your week.

Yes, I’m definitely still stuffed from Thanksgiving! This is a joyous time of year but fattening too!
Sounds like you had a great holiday.

Yes, I tend to really over-indulge when I’m trying to maintain a healthier lifestyle the rest of the time. It’s like a food binge! But it was fun. And thanks for stopping by, Yvonne…hope you enjoy your upcoming week.

Only one Thanksgiving dinner…and then a cold, but I did get some reading done over the weekend…as you saw when you stopped by my blog. 🙂 Glad you had a good one too.

Unfortunately I haven’t been reading much this week, nor did I go to the movies. But Mr Gnoe and I are watching season 2 of a fun French tv-series on dvd: Spiral (Engrenages). No Thanksgiving here in The Netherlands, so no gathering of family and friends either. Hm. Sounds as if I had a boring week but that’s not true!

Holidays can be a bit hectic, so it’s great to settle back into normalcy and watch movies, etc. That’s my kind of week! Thanks for stopping by, Gnoe.
