It’s afternoon already and I’m just now getting around to posting my Sunday Salon.
It’s been that kind of month. With October slipping away, I must look back on some of the special moments. Like this weekend, which I spent with grandkids Fiona and Noah.
We had fun eating out, going to Barnes & Noble, and watching movies.
During this week, there were some blogging moments, like these:
WHIRLING THROUGH LIFE – A SYNOPSIS
FINDING PEACE THROUGH A HAZE OF STARDUST – EXCERPT
This week has shown very poor reading numbers. Here are the books I read and reviewed:
1. The Language of Flowers, by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
2. Beautiful Children, by Charles Bock
3. The Grief of Others, by Leah Hager Cohen (Review will be up later today)
***
Now I’m ready to just veg out, read some, and watch a few movies. What are you doing the rest of today?
I have planned to read Language of Flowers, but I wonder if it is worth my time. I’m off to read your review.

Thanks for the reviews. I’m glad you liked the Language of Flowers, I have seen it mentioned a few times and wondered about reading it – it sounds great.
Have a great week next week and enjoy November.

I’ve heard that many others enjoyed it, too; I wasn’t sure I would, since sometimes the buzz is like smoke and mirrors. But I did enjoy it.
Thanks for stopping by, Helen.

Three books in one week is pretty good! I enjoyed the Language of Flowers, being a sometime backyard gardner.

Those are some good reads. Just read your review of Beautiful Children, and while I liked the concept too, I don’t think it will work for me either. Hope you have a good week!

Oh…you caught me! Yes, it’s hard to leave B & N without something. Sometimes it’s a magazine.
This week I got The Marriage Plot!
Thanks for stopping by, unfinished person.
