TSS: SAYING GOODBYE TO OCTOBER – OCT. 30

It’s afternoon already and I’m just now getting around to posting my Sunday Salon.

It’s been that kind of month.  With October slipping away, I must look back on some of the special moments.  Like this weekend, which I spent with grandkids Fiona and Noah.

We had fun eating out, going to Barnes & Noble, and watching movies.

During this week, there were some blogging moments, like these:

CHARACTER EXPLORATION

WHIRLING THROUGH LIFE – A SYNOPSIS

DARK MEMORIES – AN EXCERPT

FINDING PEACE THROUGH A HAZE OF STARDUST – EXCERPT

10-30 CHECK-IN – ROW 80

This week has shown very poor reading numbers.  Here are the books I read and reviewed:

1.  The Language of Flowers, by Vanessa Diffenbaugh

2.  Beautiful Children, by Charles Bock

3.  The Grief of Others, by Leah Hager Cohen (Review will be up later today)

***

Now I’m ready to just veg out, read some, and watch a few movies.  What are you doing the rest of today?

  1. Thanks for the reviews. I’m glad you liked the Language of Flowers, I have seen it mentioned a few times and wondered about reading it – it sounds great.

Have a great week next week and enjoy November.

  2. Those are some good reads. Just read your review of Beautiful Children, and while I liked the concept too, I don’t think it will work for me either. Hope you have a good week!
