Good morning, Sunday Saloners. I hope that everyone is safe this morning, especially if you live on the East Coast. My thoughts are with you all.
This past week has been full of all kinds of events. With grandkids back in school, I expected to have more free time, but then I got that call from the school…Noah had a fever and had to go home. So off I go.
I did manage to get some editing done; some reading; a little blogging, like these posts:
I also touched base with my publishing consultant, and I’m planning a launch for Interior Designs in the near future.
Meanwhile, my son and daughter-in-law both had birthdays, so last night we went out to celebrate at our favorite China bistro.
Earlier in the day, my granddaughter and I went to the gym, and then saw The Help together. This was my second time, and I enjoyed it just as much (or more) than the first time.
Here she is in a photo with a friend taken a few days ago…clowning around.
My granddaughter is the one on the left.
My Reading Week-Click Titles for Reviews:

2. Commencement, by J. Courtney Sullivan

Meanwhile, I’ve started rereading The Handmaid’s Tale for a read-along.

Later today, I’m going to work some more on my WIP; post another update about my progress; continue reading The Handmaid’s Tale, and…oh, yeah. Maybe I’ll do a little vegging out!
What about you?
That sounds like a great week. I really want to see The Help – I loved the book. Glad to hear you enjoyed the film.

Yes, it was even better the second time I saw it! Loved seeing it from my granddaughter’s perspective.

I’m off with my dil and my dad to hear Don Piper (90 Minutes in Heaven) speak this morning. Not sure what I’ll be up to this afternoon. Need to decide on my next read….

DIGGING OUT sounds intriguing, but a bit sad. Hope Noah is feeling better. Have a great week.

Yes, he was back in school on Friday. Hope he stays well for awhile, at least! Knock wood. Thanks for stopping by, Mason. I felt quite depressed after reading Digging Out.

On Chesil Beach is on my list as well. Did you read more books by McEwan? I’ve read Solar and Atonement, really enjoyed reading both books.

I haven’t read any of his other books, but I have Atonement on my stacks and Amsterdam on my Kindle.
Thanks for stopping by, JannyAn.

It’s always good to include some vegging out time in the plans! My kids head back to school in a week and we’re all looking forward to it. 🙂

I completely agree, Alyce. Today I ended up taking a nap! But I’ve also done some reading and movie watching. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your “free” time after school starts.

Yes, I am, Yvonne…thanks for stopping by. I spent most of yesterday and this morning with my granddaughter. Then I took her to her other grandmother and headed home to read, watch a movie…and take a nap!
Have a great week.
