THE SUNDAY SALON — SUMMER DAYS — JUNE 19

Welcome to another Sunday Salon, a gathering place to share our week in reading, blogging, and life.

It’s been a pretty good week.  Some hanging out with grandkids, since school is out.  My reading has been pretty good.

Noah and I spent some time kicking back and eating at Marie Callender’s.  He had his PSP with him, of course.

Yesterday and today were all about “spring cleaning,” which ran late this year.

Here are some blog posts:

  1. I checked out your check-in post. Hmmm, an interesting idea, although I have so little time to commit to yet another thing (rolling eyes :). However, I applaud you for doing it.

As for the rest of my Sunday, I’m going to my parents here shortly for Father’s Day. Probably not going to do much reading, but will be hanging out with my father, watching NASCAR.

  2. I’ve been spring cleaning every weekend now. I can somehow never actually do everything at one stretch – what a boring series of tasks. I need to check you Jean Thompson book review! That’s been on my wishlist.

    • I must admit that I had help for this task. My youngest son came over and shampooed the carpets…what a job that was, since I tend to have a lot of STUFF.

Then my granddaughter came over yesterday to help by scrubbing floors.

I am so grateful, since what could have been an all-day thing turned into something manageable.

      Thanks for stopping by, Aths.

    • Oh, if I did my housework more often, it wouldn’t be such a big deal! I do keep things picked up, though, but since I have a lot of stuff, the actual cleaning is a bear! Thanks for stopping by, Leighanne.

    • Yes indeed, Harvee. And thanks for noticing the totem pole…there’s a story, of course. When my oldest son came home to visit (from Prague, now Berlin), he was on a quest for tiki memorabilia for a friend who has a tiki bar. Hence, the search for whatever fit that category. He took these photos that I have grabbed for blog backgrounds. Thanks for stopping by.
