THE SUNDAY SALON — HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! — MAY 8

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there...and welcome to another Sunday Salon, where we gather around to share about our reading, blogging, and life moments.

What a busy week it has been!  In case you missed a couple of my blog posts (other than the memes), you can check these out:

Guest Post with Wendy Wax – Mothers & Daughters

A Journey Inward — Excerpt from Interior Design

And, in honor of Mother’s Day, I’d like to share a photo of my mother and me when I was a month old.

This evening, I plan to share some mother/daughter moments with my daughter, but because she’ll be working during the day, I’ll be hanging out with her son, my youngest grandson.  We always seem to find something fun to do!

Here’s what my reading week looked like.

Books Read and Reviewed-Click Titles for Reviews:

1.  Tapestry of Love, by Rosy Thornton

2.  Domestic Pleasures, by Beth Gutcheon

3.  I’ll Walk Alone, by Mary Higgins Clark

4.   Getting to Happy, by Terry McMillan

Currently Reading:

Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand, by Helen Simonson

I hope you all have a great Sunday, a fabulous new week, and that everything you do brings you joy.  And I hope you’ll stop by and share your thoughts….

  1. I’ve seen many of these books on the bookshelves at the library where I work and wondered about them. Thanks for the review. Out of them, the one I’d most likely read would be the Terry McMillan book, but of course, that would mean reading the first one…which means I’ll get to it sometime next year…about the time you get to the Harry Potter series. 🙂

    1. Yes, the first McMillan book was my favorite…and maybe that’s partly because of the movie. When I think of the characters, I often think of them on film.

Ah, wouldn’t it be great if we could read all the books we want to read?

Thanks for stopping by, Unfinished Person.
