Good morning and welcome to The Sunday Salon, that great big virtual reading room, where we gather to share our thoughts about life, blogging, and reading.

This past week has been busy, hectic, and satisfying in many ways, too.

Yesterday I did stay curled up reading for awhile, then I decided to take a break.  I went to the neighborhood mall and saw The Lincoln Lawyer, which held my interest and attention all the way through.

I had a little lunch, and then went back to my reading.

This past week’s blogging yielded these posts, among others:

Now for the reading….

Books Read and Reviewed-Click Titles for Review:

1.  The Easter Parade, by Richard Yates

2.  Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakthrough, by Ruth Pennebaker

3.  Now You See Her, by Joy Fielding

4.  These Things Hidden, by Heather Gudenkauf

So that’s my reading, blogging, and life this week.  Later today, I plan to resume watching the DVD collection of Family.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and a great new week.  Stop by, if you like, and share your own thoughts….

  1. Hi Laurel,

Glad you enjoyed the movie. I would have enjoyed coming over for lunch. I’ve been cleaning my two blogs. I changed the design on one. Not sure about it. It’s bunches of grapes. I wish the grapes were purple but they are green. This is the Everything Has A Purpose blog.

    1. Oh, those changes sound lovely, Tea…I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for stopping by! That movie was so good that I stayed in my seat the whole time (even though I needed a bathroom break! LOL)

  2. I have Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakthrough in TBR, but I don’t know how soon I’ll get to it. Looks like you had a great week book-wise – enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  3. So glad you loved The Easter Parade as much as I did. It’s my favorite book of the year so far. Tried to leave a comment on your other blog, but couldn’t. Hope you have a great week!

    1. Yvonne, I am so excited to have seen the movie and also to be watching Family. I read and then watched almost two discs today.

The actors in The Lincoln Lawyer were great….

      Thanks for stopping by.

  4. My wife and I saw something on one of the entertainment news shows about The Lincoln Lawyer and it looks like something that we’d be interested in seeing. We’ll most likely wait for it come out on DVD and get it through Netflix though. 🙂

Thanks for dropping by my blog earlier!

  5. Hi Laurel! My goodness, that’s a lot of reading! I’m impressed! 🙂 OMG! I never made the connection — Web of Tyranny is on my to-be-read list! I’m so sorry! I didn’t make the connection… I knew your name sounded familiar! Okay, going to hide under my keyboard now. 😐
