THE SUNDAY SALON — FEB. 13

Good morning!  Welcome to The Sunday Salon, where we celebrate our week in blogging and reading…and life.

Where to begin?  Well, first of all, I’d like to send out a Happy Birthday to my granddaughter Aubrey, who is fourteen today. Later I hope to talk to her on the phone.

In eight days, my other granddaughter Fiona will also turn fourteen.

The two girls have been like “twin cousins” since Day One.

Now for my week.

Some of my favorite blog posts this week:

Where Have All the Flowers Gone?

Trying to Escape the Past – An Excerpt

Interview With Krisi Keley

Now for the reading….

Books Read and Reviewed – Click Titles for Reviews:

1.  Where Angels Fear, by Sunny Frazier

2.  The Blue Bistro, by Elin Hilderbrand

3.  Lancelot’s Lady, by Cherish D’Angelo

4.  The Enchanted Barn (e-book), by Grace Livingston Hill

Now…for the rest of the day, I plan to organize my stacks for the upcoming week so that I can tell all about them tomorrow on the Monday Memes post.

I’m also thinking about going to the movies, since I haven’t been in awhile…and I’m starting to turn into a hermit!

Maybe this one:

Going to a movie about people enjoying Hawaii is sort of like going there…right?

What are the rest of you up to today?  Done a lot of reading?  Planning some more?  I hope you’ll stop by.

  1. I might be jealous watching a movie set in Hawaii! My dad and stepmom are going next week but they’ve refused to let me join them. 😉 I hope you have a lovely rest of your day.

  2. A Happy Birthday wish for both of your granddaughters. Hope their birthdays are very special. Looks like you’ve read some interesting books this week. I haven’t seen a Grace Livingston Hill book in years. Now I’ll have to dig through my book boxes and see if I can find one or two. Have a great week.

  3. Happy Birthday to Aubrey . My SIL and BIL just returned from Hawaii and had a great time. A friend of mine went to the movie and told me not to bother. Guess she did not like it 😉 Will have to check out The Blue Bistro.

    1. Thanks, Nise….She has a Facebook page, so I gave her virtual balloons….her gift card was sent in the mail last week.

I didn’t end up going to the movie today, and maybe that’s just as well. I don’t like Adam Sandler movies, in general, but I thought Nicole Kidman being in the movie might make it worthwhile….maybe not!

      Thanks for stopping by.
