Good morning, and welcome to another Sunday Salon for the year. This first full week brings new challenges, new reading lists, and new blogging adventures.
Here’s a sampling of some blogging activities:
WEEKEND POTPOURRI – SO MUCH TO DO!
A BIT OF ME (ME) – FANTASIZING ABOUT EVENTS
Some Family Fun:
And now for the reading….
Books Read and Reviewed – Click the Titles for Reviews:
1) Safe Haven, by Nicholas Sparks
2) Free Fall, by Fern Michaels
3) Sundays at Tiffany’s, by James Patterson, et. al.
So that’s it for this week, but what an adventure it has been. The writing challenge described in the Weekend Potpourri post has me all a-tingle, too, and now I’m off to write my daily amount and link to the post. But first, I’m visiting some other blogs. Hope you’ll pop in here, too.
Congratulations to the birthday boy.
I enjoyed SAFE HAVEN too. It was one of those books that I couldn’t put down. I also have to agree with you on your review of FREE FALL. I’ve loved the sisterhood books but this one didn’t seem to measure up to the others in their punishment and the way it was pulled off. I haven’t read SUNDAYS AT TIFFANY’S yet but I have it on audio and look forward to listening to it. Hope you have a great week reading.

Thanks for stopping by, Mason…I read Safe Haven on my new Kindle, which was an intriguing experience. I’ve now read two books on it, with about four more to go! Unless I buy additional ones, but I promised I would get more read first! LOL

You’ve had a good week!
I know what you mean about being worried you’ll press the wrong button on the Kindle – it’s so easy to do and then you have to start again!

Thanks for stopping by, Margaret…another thing that worries me about Kindle is reading in bed. When I read a book in bed, I sometimes fall asleep and drop it! Not a good idea with Kindle….

I love my ereader, but I don’t think it will ever replace my real, honest-to-goodness books!

I agree with you there, Deb…an option, but not a replacement is how I view it. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I love the cover of Free Fall and might be tempted to pick it up just because of that!

Did you get the cover with the book light in it for your Kindle…I think I am the odd man out…I hate to read real paper books now…I love this Kindle…and if I already mentioned this…I apologize…but preordering books is one of my fave Kindle aspects…when they automatically whispernet magically appear…it is like a birthday…except until you look at the charges on your American Express…hee hee hee…

No, I didn’t see a book light in mine, Patty….but I’ve decided to only read in places with lamps! LOL
Thanks for stopping by, and I’m going to have to try that pre-order feature. I’ve been doing it for regular books, but thinking of them sliding onto my Kindle via whispernet does sound great!

Glad you could stop by.

I’m glad you enjoyed the Sparks’ book. I want to get to that one soon. I read Sundays at Tiffanys last year and loved it. Recently I saw the movie on Lifetime which was good too.

Yes, I saw the movie first, and then remembered that I had the book on my stacks. Thanks for visiting, Yvonne….
